Acoustical Engineers Forum / General Forum / Knowledge base for Acoustical Problems / Noise mapping from background noise without a nearby sound source
Posted:  20 Feb 2006 13:56
Dear acoustical engineers,

Who has experience with the existing software models to make a nice plot for background noise levels without the presence of a nearby sound source. The location is in the middle of the fields, and is very remote. The only noise is coming from the wind, sound levels around 30 - 35 dB(A).

If anybody has suggestions how to put this in a model and create a nice looking soundmap, please advice. The problem is that you can only create a soundmap if you have a sound source ?

Reason for measuring the background sound levels is the projection of a industrial zone nearby this location where houses can be build.

Thanks in advance,

Michel
